Transavia Snack Holidays
In 2015, the Les Gaulois agency proposed a crazy web app project: win a plane ticket by purchasing a snack in a store.
The idea was to develop a web app allowing users to scan a QR code on specific products (chips, snack bars…) to win a discounted flight to Europe. The app was interfaced with Transavia's databases to let users choose a date among those offered for the promotion. The mechanics were particularly complex, involving queries on both internal and external secure databases.
The campaign was so successful that we had to quickly scale up the servers to handle traffic far exceeding initial forecasts, showcasing our exemplary responsiveness.
The campaign even won gold at the 2015 Effie Awards!
